Editorial Policy

This editorial policy explains how River Rock Homeschool reviews and recommends math curricula. Our aim is for every review to be honest, useful and grounded in real use.

How we choose what to review

We review the curricula homeschooling families actually ask about, plus newer programs worth a look. Topics come from reader questions and our own experience teaching at home.

How we review

Wherever possible we use a curriculum with real learners before writing about it. We assess how it introduces concepts, how much it reinforces them, how much preparation it demands of the parent, and whether its results justify its cost.

Fairness and accuracy

Every program has strengths and weaknesses, and we name both. Facts about editions, pricing and scope are checked before publishing.

Corrections and updates

  • We correct mistakes as soon as they’re confirmed.
  • We revisit reviews when publishers release new editions.
  • Readers can flag issues any time via our contact page.

Independence

Our reviews are editorially independent. No publisher can buy a better verdict, and recommendations reflect only what we believe serves homeschooling families.
